We collect information you provide when creating and maintaining your account, including contact details, profile information, preferences, photos, messages, verification submissions, support requests, and purchase records.

Account and profile data such as name, age, location, relationship intention, interests, and preferences.

Technical and usage information such as device details, sign-in activity, feature interactions, and approximate activity times.

Safety information such as blocks, reports, moderation decisions, and verification status. Verification documents are protected and are not displayed as public profile content.

We use information to operate Malavi, personalize recommendations, provide messaging and purchases, verify accounts, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.

Candidate eligibility and safety filtering occur before profiles are recommended.

Preferences may be used to calculate compatibility, but private or sensitive preferences should not be revealed in explanations to other members.

Operational records may be used for fraud prevention, reconciliation, audits, and legal compliance.

Profile information you choose to publish is visible to eligible Malavi members. We may use carefully selected service providers for hosting, authentication, communications, storage, analytics, and payment processing.

We do not sell your private profile information as a data product.

Service providers receive only the access needed to perform their contracted function.

Information may be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect members, Malavi, or the public from serious harm or fraud.

You can update profile information, adjust visibility, manage notifications, block members, cancel recurring membership, and request account deletion through available account controls or Support.

Some records may be retained after deletion where required for fraud prevention, transaction records, safety enforcement, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Removing profile content does not necessarily remove copies already shared by another member outside Malavi.

We use access controls, encryption in transit, protected media access, audit records, and operational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No online service can promise absolute security.

Retention periods depend on the record type, account status, safety needs, and applicable obligations.

Never share your password, sign-in code, or verification code. Contact Support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions, contact support@malavi.lk from the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
